RVSD Water System Improvement Projects

Our American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) projects as we know folks have a lot of questions. Our Madison Well Projects had a setback this summer of approximately 2.5 months due to a drill stem breaking off at approximately 3000 feet. After some time, the stem was retrieved and they are back to drilling. We are currently at a depth of 3800 feet. This week the drill team drilled into a fracture that is between the Madison and Minnelusa aquifers and needs to be sealed. Once this is sealed the drill team has approximately 80 feet to go to be able to set the casing and complete the well.

Our 2-million-gallon storage reservoir is on track for completion in February 2025 and it has been a fun process to watch take shape.

The 12” watermain to Box Elder for emergency backup and redundancy between the two regional entities was quickly completed and ready for utilization thanks to the dedication of the watermain crew.
